Step 3. Duplicate and rename "lords 1" layer.
Since I know now that what I came up with originally was a "space ring", we will use that phrase for the name of the layer we are going to develop. To go along with the concept of "unity", let us begin that layer as a copy of the "lords 1" layer.
| A. | In the Layers tab, with the "lords 1" layer highlighted, click on the Add Layer icon.
| B. | A new layer will appear above the "lords
1" layer.
Right-click on the highlighted area of the new layer.
| C. | In the popup menu that appears, click on Rename.
In the highlighted area, type in the new name, "space ring", and press Enter.
Step 4. Reposition "space ring" layer. |
| A. | Click on the "space ring" layer, drag it to the top place in the layer stack, and release it. It should automatically become highlighted at the completion of the layer repositioning.
Step 5. Turn off Editable icons for all other layers. |
| A. | Shift-Click on the Editable icon for the "space ring" layer once or twice as required to cause it to be "on" and the Editable icons for all the other layers to be "off".
The image should remain unchanged. This action will protect the other layers from being altered as the "space ring" layer is altered.
