Ultra Fractal Tutorial - The Making of "Lords of Arrakis"
Part 4. Creating the "star" layer.

Page 7. Copy layer.

Step 10. Copy layer to development file.

The "star" layer is now ready to copy from the temporary file to the development file.

A. Click on the Fractal Window for the development file to make the development file the "active" file.
In the Layers tab, make sure the top layer, "coloring", is highlighted.

B. Position the Fractal Window for the development file and the Fractal Window for the temporary file as shown below.

As a last step in this "arranging" process, click anywhere in the Fractal Window for the temporary file to make the temporary file the "active" file and to bring its Fractal Window to the top in the Fractal Window stacking order. Do not click on any Fractal Window after doing this, until the "star" layer has been copied.

C. 1) Click on the "star" layer in the Layers tab, 2) drag it to the Fractal Window of the development file, and 3) release it there. Now the "star" layer has been copied.

D. The development file has now become the "active" file and is at the top of the Fractal Window stacking order. Make sure the newly copied "star" layer in the development file is at the top of the layer stack in the Layers tab and is highlighted.
The image in the "star" layer should hide all the layers below it.

E. Click on the Fractal Window for the temporary file to make it the "active" Fractal Window and to bring it to the top of the Fractal Window stacking order, then minimize the Fractal Window for the temporary file by clicking on the Minimize button in its upper right corner.
