Ultra Fractal Tutorial - The Making of "Lords of Arrakis"
Part 4. Creating the "star" layer.

Page 3. Magnify layer.

Step 5. Magnify "star" layer.

A. Before magnifying the "star" layer, check its current magnification by clicking on the Location tab then observing the value of the Magnification parameter.
The initial magnification of the unaltered formula should be "1.5", which will be interesting to compare with the final magnification.

B. In the Fractal Window, put the cursor at the easily discernable exact center of the fractal pattern, then drag it a tiny amount, about 1/4 inch, and release it. This will draw a small, rectangular "magnifyfing marquee" surrounding the point where you started the drag.

The image, with the marquee drawn on it, will look like this:

C. Press Enter.
This will carry out the magnification, so that the area inside the small "magnification marquee" expands to fill the entire Fractal Window.

The magnified image should look like this:

D. In the Location tab, set the Magnification parameter to "45" to fine-tune the magnification.

The "magnification marquee" that you created also redefined the center of the fractal.
Type "0" into the Center (Re) parameter.
Type, or copy and paste, the following number into the Center (Im) parameter: -0.004166666665
